Dmitry Flegantov, represented by the Diamond Mode project, is a bright representative of the rock underground, who once sacrificed the career prospects of a popular artist in favor of smart, free and independent creativity. On the fusion of a cold synthetic and live guitar sound, Dmitry creates unusual music that combines features of the European new wave, alternative rock, post-punk, industrial, modern and "classic" electronic trends, as well as indie music. The lyrics of Diamond Mode songs are filled with deep philosophical meaning, but at the same time they are clothed in a light poetic form.
Despite the fact that the musician avoids publicity, his work in different years was published as part of rock compilations, played on radio stations, and remixes are presented at various, including European venues.
On November 01, the Diamond Mode project suddenly comes out of the shadows and presents its first full-fledged Studio album called "I look like You".
The album consists of 8 tracks (including a Remix), the songs are United by a common concept, they carry a very specific message in their sequence, encrypted even in the sound of the record that changes in a certain way from song to song…
According to Dmitry, the Creator and sole author of the Diamond Mode project, his own songs appear to him as some materialized " diamonds "of personal emotions, thoughts, and experiences that later passed the Studio" cut", and eventually became real" diamonds", presented on the" showcase " of the album in a certain semantic order.
"This image, it is just reflected in the name of the project" - says Dmitry. "At one point six years ago, I realized that I had learned a lot, achieved a certain professionalism, the ability to convey my music to the listener in the form in which my imagination draws it, how I feel it, what it should be... That's how the name "Diamond Mode" came about.
The album "I look like You" definitely can not be attributed to the entertainment genre. Songs in colors tell about what terrible metamorphoses the human personality undergoes, plunging through selfishness, self-love and the pain of loss into the most terrible abysses of Vice, simultaneously realizing its secret, insane and criminal desires…
