Darkest nights, longest nights, freezing and crystal clear; 
Caressing stars on the sky canvas shimmering 
Ancient, eternal, immortal, mysterious 
Sagas of Midwinter Solstice they’re whispering. 


Hail to Thee, Thou, the Three-Hypostatic One! 
Blessing our Mother Earth with sunshine welcoming! 
Cast away darkness that covers our sacred paths, 
Fill our souls with Thy love, bright and radiant

How can we sleep in the midst of this magic time? 
What can we do as the circle of life goes on? 
Best thing is saying sweet words to the nearest ones, 
Sending warm thoughts to those who are far away 

Let us rejoice in a fiery circle dance 
Casting night spirits away with the ringing bells 
Dead of the night will deliver the Newborn Sun 
With blushing lanites that melt away ice and snow
