"Dancing by video" is the debut legendary album by the Soviet and Russian synth-pop group "Bioconstructor", released in 1987. In 1994, the album was re-released by ZeKo Records, and re-released in 2019 by Maschina Records. The band reunited in 2019 and performs at concert venues. A new album is being prepared.
The group is sometimes called the ancestors of the Soviet and Russian dark wave.
"...The search for universal harmony, stated in the program composition of "Bioconstructor", consistently moves from theme to theme on the album "Dancing on video". The musical and poetic texture of songs gives rise to cosmic associations. This sensation is the emotional nerve of the program. For the thought of a small space ship called Earth, so defenseless in the terrifying depths of the Galaxy, is an unsettling thought. The righteous dream of harmony finds itself in the net of human vices, small and large, private and global, but equally dangerous and tricky..."A.Gasparyan (the newspaper "Moskovsky Komsomolets", 1987)
